Without any real rhyme or reason, I guess I will kick this thing off and attempt to clear the dust out of some neglected grooves in my brain. I've not written for many years now, so this won't be easy, probably not pretty, nor all that enjoyable to read, I imagine. If you've somehow found yourself here in my lil' blog startup, I thank you in advance for sticking around and putting up with my rusty, unrefined, perhaps meandering, writing style.
Despite being someone who once prided himself in the creative arts, I've not drawn a picture or written more than a few words here and there for many years now. The only expression I've had at all in recent years is music. Being a drummer, my musical past didn't include a whole slew of creativity, but a little over a year ago, I decided to attempt to transcribe the tunes in my head, through the use of ProTools and the like. Forty or so random tracks later, I felt invigorated and accomplished and excited to be trying something new. Shortly thereafter, however, my midi keyboard broke and I've not attempted a new track since last summer, though I hope to be delving back in again soon. All that said, this here blog is another avenue of creative release for me, and I am going to try to give it a concerted effort.
